27.04.2026. 1) Heard Ms. Mary L. Khiangte, learned Govt. Advocate appearing for the appellants. Also heard Mr. F. Lalengliana, learned Senior Counsel, assisted by Mr. C. Lalsangpuia, learned counsel for the respondent. 2) It is submitted at the bar that this matter was referred to mediation and during the mediation process, the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement. 3) Learned counsels for the appellants as well as respondent submits that this appeal may be disposed of in terms of the amicable settlement arrived at between the parties in the mediation process. 4) I have perused the report of the Joint Registrar (Judicial-cum- Coordinator, High Court Mediation Centre) dated 07.04.2026, wherein it has been stated that the matter was amicably settled between the parties during mediation process and the appellant has proposed to pay the amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- to the respondent as compensation and same is agreeable to the respondent. 5) Accordingly, this Regular First Appeal is disposed of in terms of the
Page No.# 3/3 amicable settlement arrived at between the parties during mediation process. 6) Let a decree be prepared accordingly. 7) The settlement Order dated 07.04.2026 passed in the mediation process before the High Court Mediation Centre, Aizawl Bench shall form part of the decree. 8) All endeavours shall be made by the appellants to honour the settlement arrived at between the parties and by paying the settled amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- to the respondent within a period of 2 (two) months from the date of this order. 9) This Regular First Appeal is accordingly disposed of. 10) Send back the Trial Court’s record along with a copy of this order.
