The petitioner has instituted the present writ petition, praying that- “In the premises aforesaid, it is most respectfully prayed that the Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to call for the records and issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any writ of the like nature directing the respondent authorities to promote the Petitioner from the post of Head Constable to Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and/or further be pleased to direct the Respondent authorities to compensate the Petitioner for the loss of financial entitlement caused by their in action i.e. not promoting him in due course and / or cause or causes that may be shown by the respondent authorities, upon hearing the parties, make the rule absolute and/or pass any such further order/orders as your Lordships may deem fit and proper.” 3. Mr. L N Dihingia, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, during the pendency of the present writ petition, has been granted his promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector, (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Accordingly, he submits that the prayer of the petitioner, to promote him to the post of Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), as made in the present writ petition, stands redressed. 4. The petitioner’s prayer for grant of promotion to the rank of Sub-Inspector, (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), having been redressed, the Court would consider the further prayer made in the writ petition for grant of compensation for the financial loss, occasioning in issuance of orders, promoting the petitioner to the rank of Sub- Page No.# 3/3 Inspector, (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). 5. This Court, on perusal of the writ petition, finds that the petitioner has made vague pleadings of he, being superseded, in the matter of promotion to the Cadre of Sub- Inspector, (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), however, no particulars, in this connection, has been set out in the writ petition. Further, the juniors, who had superseded the petitioner, have not been arrayed as respondents in the present writ petition. Accordingly, in absence of necessary particulars being brought on record and the juniors of the petitioner, who had allegedly superseded him in the matter of promotion to the rank of Sub-Inspector, (Motor Transport) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), not being arrayed as respondents, the further prayer of the petitioner would not mandate a consideration on merits. Accordingly, the said further prayer of the petitioner stands rejected. 6. With the above observation and directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
