Karim, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. A. Bhuyan, learned Standing Counsel, BTC; Mr. J. Handique, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Disaster Management; and Ms. A. Borthakur, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. P. Nayak, learned Addl. Advocate General for the Finance Department. 2. It appears that the subject matter in the instant writ petition is the selection process for the post of regular Gaon Burah in the BTC area pursuant to an advertisement dated 10.12.2018. 3. Today when the matter is called up Mr. A. Bhuyan, learned Standing Counsel, BTC places the minutes of the Executive Council Meeting of the BTC held on 27.10.2025 to contend that the entire selection process in question has been cancelled. Page No.# 3/3 4. The copy of the aforesaid minutes is also placed before this Court, which is kept on record and marked as X. 5. Having noted that the subject selection process which has been challenged in the present writ proceeding has already been cancelled, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition. 6.
