The present writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to issue an appointment order in his favour on compassionate grounds, instead of in favour of respondent No. 5. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s father died in harness on 19.06.2019 and the petitioner preferred an application vide Annexure P/3 before the respondent authority for grant of compassionate appointment but the same is pending consideration till date. 4. Be that as it may, the concerned respondent authority is directed to consider and decide the said representation of the petitioner on its own merit strictly in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Respondent No. 5 shall also be at liberty to make a 3 (WPS No. 10310 of 2019) representation before the respondent authority prior to the passing of the order. 5.
