Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the Appellant-Claimant, Mr. Girija Prasad Dutta, learned counsel for the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company and Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, ICICI, Lombard, General Insurance Company Ltd. are present. 2. Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, ICICI, Lombard, General Insurance Company Ltd. who is present submits that Bharati AXA GIC Ltd. has merged with ICICI, Lombard, General Insurance Company Ltd. in the month of September, 2021. This appeal has been filed by the Appellants-Claimants, challenging the judgment dated 27.06.2018 passed by the learned Member, 5th MAC, Khurdha in M.A.C.T Case No. 77 of 2013 directing the respondent no.2-Insurance Company to pay a sum of Rs.6,37,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs and Thirty Seven Thousands) only as compensation to the Appellants-Claimants with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of filing of the claim application i.e. 23.07.2013 till its actual realization within a period of thirty days hence, failing which, the Appellants-Claimants are at liberty to take steps for recovery the said amount under due process of law. 4. In full and final settlement of the claim, it is now agreed between the Appellants-Claimants and the Respondent No.2- Insurance Company that a further consolidated amount of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousands) only, which includes interest, shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the Appellants-Claimants within a period of eight weeks. 5. The compromise memo signed by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the Appellants-Claimants, Mr. G.P. Dutta, learned counsel for the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company and Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, ICICI, Lombard, General Insurance Company Ltd. is taken on record. 6. It is, therefore, directed that the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousands) only, which includes interest, within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. The said amount shall be apportioned/kept in fixed deposit and disbursed as per direction of the Tribunal. Documents in support of merger of Bharati AXA GIC Ltd. with ICICI, Lombard, General Insurance Company Ltd. shall be filed before the Tribunal by the Insurance Company. 7. As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied. 8. The MACA is accordingly disposed of. 9.
