Opposite Parties Mr. P.K. Panda, ASC CORAM: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE BIRAJA PRASANNA SATAPATHY ORDER 09.03.2026 Order No. 03 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. 2. On the oral prayer made by the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners, he is permitted to implead Collector, Bolangir as Opp. Party No. 6 in Court. 3. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties. 4. Petitioners have filed the present writ petition inter alia with the following prayer:- “he petitioners, therefore, pray that your Lordships may graciously be pleased to consider the facts stated in the writ petition, admit the same, issue Rule Nisi as to why a writ of mandamus shall not be issued directing the Opp. Parties to take steps for payment of the compensation to the petitioners for forcibly occupying the land of the petitioners in respect of the Plot No.942 of Khata No.235 under Mouza Kantabanji (Kha). And if the opposite parties fail to show cause or show insufficient cause then makes the absolute; Page 2 of 2. And pass any other writ(s)/order(s)/direction(s) as your Lordships may deem fit and proper; And for which act of kindness the petitioners as in duty bound shall ever pray.” 5. However, taking into account the claim raised in the present Writ Petition, liberty is granted to the Petitioners to make a fresh joint representation before Opp. Party No. 6 by enclosing all the relevant documents and citations in support of their claim, if any, within a period of three (3) weeks hence. 6. It is observed that if such representation is filed within the aforesaid time period, Opp. Party No. 6 shall do well to take a lawful decision on the same within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of such representation. The order so passed by Opp. Party No. 6 be communicated to the Petitioners. 7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. (BIRAJA PRASANNA SATAPATHY) Judge Sneha
