1. The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for quashing of the award dated 30.8.2016 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No. 1, whereby respondent No.2-workman has been ordered to be reinstated in service with 25% of back wages.

At the very outset, learned counsel for respondent No. 2 submits that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court on 24.8.2026, and in view of the settlement, a lump-sum compensation of Rs. 85,000/- has been released to respondent No. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has also admitted the factum of settlement arrived at between the parties.
4. In view of the consensus arrived at between the parties, the GURPREET SINGH 2026.09.11 15:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

present petition does not survive for consideration.
5. Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of in the terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties. Award dated 30.8.2016 shall not come in the way of the consensus arrived at between the parties, which shall be bound by the terms thereof.

disposed of.
