The present writ petition is filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant minimum pay scale as revised from time to time and arrears of salary for the period they had worked as daily wage employees in department on basis of equal pay equal work in view of the judgment of Hon’ble the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 213/2013 titled as State of Punjab vs. Jagjit Singh and others, decided on 26.10.2016. 2. Learned counsel for the State submits that the writ involving identical issue has already been dismissed by Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, vide judgment dated 13.04.2023 passed in CWP No. 25984-2015 titled as Rajinder Pal and others vs. State of Punjab and another by relying upon Jagjit Singh’s sase (supra). 3. In view of the above factual position, the present writ petition is dismissed of in terms of Rajinder Pal and others vs. State of Punjab and another, decided on 13.04.2023 passed in CWP No. 25984-2015. 4.
