The above-referred petitions have been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari for quashing the office order dated 10.07.2017 (Annexure P-5), which says that JE Installation/Meter Inspectors cannot be promoted as AAE Installation if JE Electrical with similar length of service is yet to be promoted despite the fact that the petitioners who had already been promoted as AAE Installation in the year 2014 after VINAY 2026.07.09 18:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CWP-31199-2018 & CWP-4030-2020 -2- the JE Installation were separated from JE Electrical in the year 2004 for the purpose of further promotion as AAE. Further, directions have also been sought for staying the finalisation of the tentative seniority list of AAE employees dated 22.10.2018 (Annexure P-7) in which the petitioners have not been given the seniority and have been kept in footnote citing the above-said impugned order dated 10.07.2017 (Annexure P-5). 2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the tentative seniority list of Additional Assistant Engineers (AAE) dated 22.10.2018 (Annexure P-7) has been finalized, vide order dated 15.07.2020 and the same has been produced in the Court, which is taken on record and a copy of the same has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioners, who wishes to withdraw the present petitions with liberty to file fresh ones on the same cause of action by impugning the said seniority list. 3.
