ORDER This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned selection list pertaining to the direct recruitment of Special Teachers 2/6 WP(MD) NO. 18772 of 2018 (Physical Education) in the School Education Department and other Departments for the years 2012 to 2016, on the ground that the exercise of shortlisting candidates under the PSTM category was not carried out. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that, considering the said lacuna in the selection and appointment process, the appointment orders were recalled and the entire selection list was revised and redone by the second respondent–Teachers Recruitment Board. He would further submit that, even after the exercise was undertaken by duly shortlisting the candidates under the PSTM category, the petitioner did not qualify and was not selected. 3. In identical circumstances, this Court, in the case of V. Dhanasekaran v. The Member Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board and another, vide order dated 03.11.2025, considered the contentions raised therein. The relevant portion of paragraph No.4 is extracted below: ... ' 4. From the above statement, it is amply clear that the petitioner did not come within the zone of consideration. According to the petitioner, there are still 34 vacancies, which 3/6 WP(MD) NO. 18772 of 2018 are yet to be filled. However, this factum is stoutly denied by the respondents.' 4. In the light of the identical circumstances prevailing in the present case, coupled with the fact that the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner does not fall within the zone of consideration and, therefore, would not qualify even otherwise, this Court is of the view that no further consideration is warranted. 5. In view of the above observations, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
