By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order dated April 28, 2017, passed in SWP No. 1002/2017 (Mukhtar Hussain & ors. vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. The records shows that time to lay motion for impleadment of new incumbents as respondents was granted to the petitioner by this Court in terms of order dated October 12, 2021. The said order has not been complied with as to date. 3. The petition is pending since 2018 and none is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter. 4. That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
