HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 467/2018 in SWP No. 1999/2012 Parseeno Devi ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None. Vs Hardesh Kumar Singh & Ors. .…. Respondent(s) Through: None. CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE (THROUGH VIRTUAL MODE) ORDER 08.05.2026 1. By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order dated June 05, 2017, passed in SWP No. 1999/2012 (Parseeno Devi. vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to respondent No. 1 to process the case of the petitioner for grant of pensionary benefits and forward the same to respondent no.4 who inturn was directed to pass appropriate orders within a specified time period. 3. The matter is pending since 2018 and nearly eight years have gone by. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the petition. 4. That being so, the Court is choiceless, but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
