By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order and judgment dated April 24, 2018, passed in SWP No. 2547/2013 (Abdul Aziz vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the competent authority(s) to take a decision with regard to the regularization of the petitioner on the Post of Orderly with retrospective effect with all consequential benefits, if found entitled, and, in the light of Government Order No 1285-GAD of 2001 dated 06.11.2001 The said exercise was to be completed within a specified time frame. 3. Statement of facts on behalf of the respondents has been filed which reveals that the directions issued by the Court stand complied with by the respondents and a detailed order No. INF/152/2018 dated 31.08.2018 (Annexure R1) was passed in this regard. But since the claim of the petitioner was found to be devoid of merit, same was rejected. 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
