By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order and judgment dated August 18, 2017, passed in SWP No. 2252/2016 (Jagdish Kumar Vs. State and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the recommendations of DPO Ramban dated 29.10.2016 and take a decision sympathetically in respect thereto in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable within a stipulated time period. 3. Statement of facts/compliance report on behalf of the respondents has been filed, wherein it is stated that Police Headquarter J&K vide order no. 2125 of 2018 dated 19.05.2018 (annexure R) while considering the case of the petitioner, had approved the claim of the petitioner for his appointment as follower provisionally in J&K Executive Police on Operational grounds. And, the petitioner had been granted all service benefits on notional basis. The formal Sr.No. 43 appointment order No. 742 of 2018 dated 12.10.2018 has also been issued. Thus, it appears that nothing substantive survives in the petition. 4. Accordingly, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. However, in the event any dispute/cause of action/interest still survives, the petitioner is at liberty to move an appropriate application for revival of the present petition and its decision on merits.
