By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order dated April 29, 2016, passed in SWP No. 237/2005 (Randhir Singh Jamwal vs. Union of India and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for disability pension within a stipulated time period. 3. Learned Senior counsel for the respondents submits that the claim of the petitioner was considered and the disability pension in his favour has since been granted. Therefore, nothing substantive survives in the petition. 4. In wake of the above, the present contempt is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. However, in the event any dispute/cause of action/interest still survives, the petitioner is at liberty to move an appropriate application for revival of the present petition and its decision on merits.
