THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND
CONTEMPT CASE NO. 580 of 2018
ORDER:
The contempt case is filed complaining willful disobedience of the order dated 02.03.2017 passed by this Court in W.P.No.20584 of 2013.
2. Sri Y.V.Ravi Prasad, learned Senior Counsel appearing for Sri Y.V.Anil Kumar, learned counsel for the 1st respondent, and Sri V.Venugopal Rao, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent would submit that the order of the Court has been complied with.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner also endorsed the same.
4. In view of the above factual position, in our considered view, continuation of the contempt proceedings is unwarranted. Therefore, this Contempt Case can be closed.
5. However, this Court noticed that there is an abnormal delay in implementing the orders of the Court. It appears that only after issuance of Form-I notice and after appearance of the respondents, they decided to implement the order, and such type of attitude is not acceptable to the Court. The respondents, being Senior Officers, have to respect the Court orders in true letter and spirit and they have to implement the orders within the time stipulated by the Court.
4
6. The respondents shall be more conscious and vigilant to implement the Court orders in future within the time stipulated. Failing which, it is made clear that serious orders will be passed against them.
7. At present, the present Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no
order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
