This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 21.03.2018 passed in P.L.A. No. 08 of 2016 by the Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS), Mayurbhanj, Baripada directing the Petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.50,536/- towards sum assured along with Rs.10,000/- towards compensation for delay in settlement and for harassment with mental agony and Rs.5000/- towards cost of litigation with interest @ 7% per annum. 2. Mr. G.P. Dutta, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner – Insurance Company submits that in the meanwhile the matter has been settled between the parties, for which the Petitioner does not want to proceed with the aforesaid writ petition and wants to withdraw the same.
