On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 11.05.2026, this Court had passed the following order:- “After hearing learned counsel for both the parties, this Court is of the considered opinion that the instant lis can be given a quietus, once and for all, in case, the respondent No.2/Management agrees to pay Rs.2,00,000/- as lump sum compensation to the petitioner/workman, over and above the amount already awarded through the impugned award dated 28.02.2013 (Annexure P-6), passed by learned Tribunal. Learned counsel for the respondent No.2/Management, has made a request for an adjournment, to have apposite instructions from the quarter concerned, in this regard. Asked for request is accepted. Today, learned counsel for the respondent No.2/management submits that, with a view to bringing the protracted industrial dispute to a quietus and to uphold its commitment as a model employer dedicated to the welfare of its workmen, the management is ready and willing to pay a sum of ₹2,00,000/- as lump-sum compensation to the petitioner/workman, over and above the amount already awarded vide the impugned award dated 28.02.2013, in full and final settlement of all claims arising out of the present dispute. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner/workman, on instructions, submits that the workman is agreeable to a full and final settlement of the dispute by accepting the proposed amount as lump-sum compensation. 4. In view of the aforesaid consensus arrived at between the parties, and with a view to bringing the employer-employee dispute inter se the workman and management to an amicable end, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the management to remit the agreed amount of lump-sum compensation, in addition to the amount already awarded vide the impugned award dated 28.02.2013, into the bank account of the workman, particulars whereof are extracted hereinbelow, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, failing which the said amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum.
