Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the Appellants-Claimants, Mr. G.P. Dutta, learned counsel for the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company and Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, Bharati Axa GIC Ltd. are present and Appellant No.1 – Atal Bihari Pradhan is present. 2. Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, I.C.I.C.I. Lombard is present and submits that Bharati Axa GIC Ltd. has merged with I.C.I.C.I. Lombard in the month of September, 2021. 3. This appeal has been filed by the Appellants-Claimants, challenging the judgment and order dated 06.05.2017 passed by the learned 3rd M.A.C.T., Talcher in M.A.C. Case No. 93 of 2015 directing the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company to pay an amount of Rs.4,36,000/- (Rupees Four lakhs Thirty Six thousand) only to the Appellants-Claimants along with interest at the rate of 705% per annum from the date of filing i.e. 28.12.2015 till date of payment. The said amount had been directed to be apportioned between the claimants and some amount directed to be kept in fixed deposit in the names of the claimants and some amount disbursed in their favour. This Appeal has been filed for enhancement. 4. In full and final settlement of the claim, it is now agreed between the Appellants-Claimants and the Respondent No.2- Insurance Company that a consolidated amount of Rs.6,50,000/- (Rupees Six lakhs Fifty thousand) which includes interest shall be paid by the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company to the Appellants- Claimants within a period of eight weeks. 5. The compromise memo signed by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the Appellants-Claimants, Appellant No.1 – Atal Bihari Pradhan, Mr. G.P. Dutta, learned counsel for the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company and Mr. Bibekananda Bal, Legal Manager, Bharati Axa GIC Ltd. is taken on record. 6. It is therefore directed that the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs.6,50,000/- (Rupees Six lakhs Fifty thousand) with includes interest within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. The amount shall be apportioned/invested and/or disbursed to the Appellants-Claimants as per the direction of the Tribunal. Document in support of merger of Bharati Axa GIC Ltd. with I.C.I.C.I. Lombard shall be filed before the Tribunal by the Insurance Company. 7. As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied. 8.
