CMP No.10642 of 2026 The present application has been filed seeking permission to organize the Village Level Birshee Mela Kasholi in the ground of Govt. Primary School Kasholi, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu, HP from 11.05.2026 to 14.05.2026. The Coordinate Bench in CWPIL No.146 of 2017 has not appreciated the holding of such cultural programs in educational institutions. It is not disputed that school is open during the said period, therefore, the averment is made to organize the event in the evening. If this permission is given, there will be stalls, which have to be erected, hence, we are of the considered opinion that giving such permission during the working days for the cultural programs could mitigate against the main order dated 11.12.2017 passed in CWPIL No.146 of 2017, wherein it has been held that school or college premises shall not be permitted to be used for activities, which are alien to education. In view of the above, we see no plausible reason to allow the application. Therefore, the present application is dismissed. Application stands disposed of. CMP No.10644 of 2026 Learned counsel for the applicant states that he is under instructions not to press this application, at this stage.
