In terms of order dated 01.05.2017, the respondents were directed to complete the selection process for the post of RET Teacher in UPS Upper Amwara, Zone Babey, Udhampur advertised in pursuance of Advertisement Notice dated 26.02.2011 and issue select list strictly under rules, on the basis of merit and eligibility, as mentioned in the advertisement notice. 2. Hon’ble the Supreme Court of India, in case titled as Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and others vs. Saba Wani reported in 2026 INSC 439, has issued slew of directions so far as the appointment of RET Teachers is concerned. 3. In view of above, proceedings in the instant contempt petition are closed and the same is accordingly disposed of, along with the connected application, by directing the respondents to comply with the judgment which is the subject matter of the instant contempt Serial No. 82 2 CPSW No. 518/2017 petition, in its letter and spirit, in light of the directions issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the judgment (supra).
