In the compliance report filed by the respondents, it is stated that as per notification of the Jammu University, marks card issued by the Jammu University reflects that petitioner is Visharad (II year pass) and while the case of the petitioner was under consideration in the Department for process of selection, RET Scheme was withdrawn in terms of Govt. Order dated 16.11.2018. 2. Hon’ble the Supreme Court of India, in case titled as Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and others vs. Saba Wani reported in 2026 INSC 439, has issued slew of directions so far as the appointment of RET Teachers is concerned. 3. In view of above, proceedings in the instant contempt petition are closed and the same is accordingly disposed of, by directing the respondents to comply with the directions issued in the judgment Serial No. 83 2 CPSW No. 723/2017 (supra) passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, in its letter and spirit, so far as claim of the petitioner is concerned.
