HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 448/2017 in SWP No. 68/2016 Reeta Kumari and others ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None. Vs Ravinder Singh and others .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting counsel to Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE (THROUGH VIRTUAL MODE) ORDER 08.05.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioners seek initiation of the contempt proceedings against the respondents owing to intentional non-compliance of the order and judgment dated February 08, 2016 rendered in SWP No. 68/2016 (Reeta Kumari & ors. Vs.State of J&K & ors.) A bare analysis of the order referred to above shows that the petition preferred by the petitioners was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to accord consideration to the representation of the petitioners seeking regularization as General Line Teacher and release of their salaries, strictly in accordance with rules and the scheme as in vogue. Compliance report dated 30.10.2022 on behalf of respondent no.2 has been filed and in para no.3 thereof it has been submitted that the grievance of the petitioners stands redressed as their services as Rehbar-e-taleem have been regularized and the regularization orders issued. (annexure(s) R1 to R 4). In the wake of the above, nothing substantive survives in the present petition, the same is, accordingly, dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. However, in the event any dispute/cause of action/interest still survives, the petitioners are at liberty to move an appropriate application for revival of the present petition and its decision on merits ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 08.05.2026 Sunita.
