The petitioner, by way of the present contempt petition, seeksinitiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedienceof the order dated 11.11.2016, passed in SWP No. 891/2006 (Yog Raj &ors. vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of by the Writ Court on the consensus/agreement arrived at between the parties that the writ petition was squarely coveredby the Division Bench judgment dated 30.07.2009 passed in LPASW No. 49/2008 (State of J&K and ors.vs. Adit Akhtar shah and ors.), hence the writ petition was disposed of in the same terms. 3. The petition at hands is pending since 2017. 4. The record shows that despite opportunity, the petitioner has failed to take the necessary measures to serve the respondents. 5. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner, leaving the Court unapprised as to whether the instant petition retains any live cause of action as of this date. 6. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
