HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE
ORDER 04.05.2026
Learned counsel for the respondents, at the outset, has drawn the attention of the Court to the averments set out in Para No. 10 of the compliance report submitted on behalf of the respondents. Per which the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Laboratory Assistant was examined by the Authorities but since he was figured at Serial No. 261 of the final seniority list (clubbed list) of Class-IV employees, it was concluded that his claim would be considered as and when the post of Laboratory Assistants are available under promotion quota as per rules. And, a detailed order No. CEOJ/legal/29640-43 dated May 22, 2019, was passed, in this regard, (Annexure-R-1).
The matter is pending since 2017 and nearly a decade has gone by. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the petition.
That being so, nothing substantive survives in the petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 04.05.2026 Suraj K. Singh
