Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the order dated October 19, 2016, passed in SWP No. 450/2015 (Sujali Gupta vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to furnish a list of wait listed candidates to respondent no.1, for issuing appointment orders in favour of all eligible candidates in accordance with the merit by operating the waiting list. The said exercise was to be carried within the stipulated timeframe. 3. Compliance report submitted on behalf of the respondents reveals that pursuant to the decision taken by the respondent-Authorities, Principal Government Medical College, Jammu has issued appointment order in favour of petitioner vide order no. 38-AHJ of 2017 dated 08.05.2017.(Annexure-R-2) 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
