HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 490/2017 in SWP No. 3172/2014 Mohd. Nazir ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Nirmal Sharma and another .…. Respondent(s) Through: None Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for willful disobedience of the order dated April 28, 2017, rendered in SWP No.3172/2014 (Ranjit Kour and another versus State of J&K and another). A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondents to consider his claim strictly in accordance with the applicable rules as also the judgment dated March 01, 2012 rendered in SWP No. 2234/2002 (Harbans Lal versus State of J&K and others) provided the same had any bearing on the matter in issue. The petition is pending for nearly a decade and none is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter. That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 30.04.2026 AKHILESH Sr.No. 88
