Akhoon, Advocate Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 04.05.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner prays for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-Authorities for willful defiance of the interim order dated December 08, 2016, rendered by the Writ Court in SWP No. 2565/2016 and MP No. 01/2016. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the Writ Court, while issuing notice to the respondents had directed that the petitioner be permitted to appear in the interview. The records show that subsequently on February 08, 2022, the main case itself was transferred by this Court to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to point out if the lis between the parties still survives or the matter is still pending consideration before the Tribunal. That being so, the Court is choiceless, but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
