Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the order dated December 22, 2016, passed in SWP No. 2290/2015 (Romesh Chander vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to reinstate the petitioner and to award him all consequential benefits. The said exercise was to be carried out within the stipulated timeframe. 3. Compliance report submitted on behalf of the respondents reveals that pursuant to the detailed order passed by the respondent-Authorities, the petitioner has been reinstated vide government order no. 287-GAD of 2018 dated 21.02.2018. 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
