HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 411/2017 in SWP No. 1000/2017 Surjeet Singh ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Bharat Bhushan Vyas and others .…. Respondent(s) Through: None Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for willful, intentional disobedience of the order dated April 28, 2017, rendered in SWP No. 1000/2017 (Surjeet Singh versus Sate of J&K and others). A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for release of unpaid salary, if any due. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to pursue the petition, which is pending for nearly a decade. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 30.04.2026 AKHILESH Sr.No. 82
