HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 391/2017 in SWP No. 2771/2012 Veena Kumari ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Ch. Mohd. Rashid Prog. Officer ICDS .…. Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Saliqa Sheikh, Advocate Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-Authorities for willful disobedience of the order dated May 02, 2017 rendered in SWP No. 2771/2012 (Veena Kumari V/s State of J&K & Ors.). A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to District Programme Officer, ICDS, Rajouri to decide the representation submitted by the petitioner within a specified time. Statement of facts/objections has been submitted on behalf of the respondent. Which shows as per the ICDS norms, no applicant/candidate can be engaged against any vacant post of Anganwari Worker in the ICDS Project except in her own ward/hamlet. Hence the claim of the petitioner was rejected. Copy of the disposal order passed by the respondent-Authorities, in this regard, appended as annexure R-1. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the petition, the same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 30.04.2026 Suraj K. Singh Sr.No. 76
