The petitioner, by way of the present contempt petition, seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the judgment and order dated May 04, 2016 passed in SWP No. 1828/2002 (Mohan Lal vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. The record shows that despite opportunity, the petitioner has failed to take the necessary measures to serve the respondents. 3. The petition at hand is pending since 2017. 4. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner, leaving the Court unapprised as to whether the instant petition retains any live cause of action as of this date. 5. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
