A bare reading of the order referred to above shows that MP No. 1/2017 was disposed of by the Writ Court with the direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for promotion to the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in view of the fact that similarly situate persons have already been promoted. The records show in fact the main case itself was transferred by this Court to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu on December 06, 2021. None is present either on behalf of the petitioners to point out if the lis between the parties still survives or the matter is still pending before the Tribunal.
