A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondents to settle and grant disability pension to the petitioner with effect from the date of discharge, with simple interest @ 12% per annum. The petition is pending for nearly a decade. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter.
