1. By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the order dated April 28, 2016 passed in SWP No. 871/2016 (Ravi Kumar Tickoo vs. State of J&K and anr.).
2. A bare reading of the order passed by the writ court reveals that the petition, preferred by the petitioner, was disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation(s) filed by the petitioner within a fixed time frame.
3. Statement of facts/response on behalf of the respondents has been filed which reveals that the representation submitted by the petitioner was re- examined/reconsidered afresh strictly as per the Rules but since the claim of the petitioner was found to be devoid of merit, same was rejected vide a detailed
order No. Agri/Gaz/Legal/31/2017 dated June 06, 2017.
4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
