HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 92/2017 in SWP No. 996/2011 Shiba Kalsoom and anr. ….. Petitioner(s) Through: None. Vs Shaleen Kabra Secy. Education and ors. .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting counsel to Mr. Raman Sharma, Sr. Advocate (AAG) CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 1. The petitioner, by way of the present contempt petition, seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the judgment and order dated 10.12.2013 passed in SWP No. 996/2011 (Ritu Sharma and ors vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to consider the claim of the petitioners under rules and having regard to the judgment passed by this Bench in SWP No. 1086/2011 on 08.11.2013 within a specified time frame provided the same had any bearing to the matter in issue. 3. The matter is pending since 2017 and nearly a decade has gone by. 4. None is present either on behalf of the petitioners to clarify if anything actually survives in the petition. 5. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
