HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 285/2017 in SWP No. 1900/2007 Thakri Devi ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs H.A. Parray and another .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting Counsel vice Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of the contempt proceedings against the respondents owing to willful defiance of the order and judgment dated October 24, 2016 rendered by the Writ Court in SWP No. 1900/2007 read with order dated November 28, 2016 passed in Review (SWP) NO. 18/2016. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to consider the claim of the petitioner for regularization of her services on the post of Helper, against which order, the review petition was filed in which respondent-Authorities were additionally directed to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of her services on the post of Helper or any equivalent post with all consequential benefits. The petition is pending for over a decade. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter. That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 30.04.2026 Pawan Chopra/Secy.
