A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent No. 3 to consider the claim of the petitioner for permanent employment in category of Group D Staff by a speaking order in the wake of the communication dated November 07, 2016. Further, it was observed that in the event the petitioner was found entitled to the benefit of permanent employment, he be also awarded all consequential benefits. The petition is pending since 2017. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter. That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
