HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 220/2017 in SWP No. 882/2008 Ex. Nk, Sudershan Kumar No. 3975943-Y ….. Petitioner(s) Through: None. Vs G.Mohan Kumar, Secy. Ministry of Defence and ors. .…. Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Vishal Sharma, Sr. Advocate (DSGI) with M/s Eishaan Dadhichi & Karan Sharma, CGSC CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 1. Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the order and judgment dated November 25, 2013, passed in SWP No. 882/2008 (Ex. Nk, Sudershan Kumar vs. Union of India and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of disability pension within a specified time period . 3. Learned Senior counsel at the very outset has shared with the Court a copy of communication dated July 14, 2017 issued by the Col Dir, AG/PS- 4(Pension/Legal) for ADG PS vide which the petitioner has been granted disability pension @ 20% with effect from 01 March 1998 for life. A copy of the communication is taken on record and marked as ‘X’. 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
