By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities owing to willful/deliberate disobedience of the directions issued by this Court vide order and judgment dated September 28, 2016 passed in SWP No. 2071/2016 (Pardeep Kumar and ors. vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities that in case the petitioners submit a representation to the competent authority with regard to their grievance same shall be dealt by a speaking order, in light of the scheme framed by the Government within a specified time frame. 3. Response submitted on behalf of the respondents reveals that in compliance to the order passed by this Court, claim of the petitioner was considered and rejected by the competent Authority vide Agriculture Order No. 329 of 2016 dated 17.11.2016. 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the petition. Accordingly, same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
