The petitioner, by way of the present contempt petition, seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the Respondent-authorities, for willful/deliberate disobedience of the judgment and order dated May 02, 2011, passed in SWP No. 910/2011 (Babita Rani and ors. vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to accord consideration to the representation made by the petitioner within the stipulated timeframe. 3. The petition at hand is pending since 2017. 4. The record shows that even the notice has not been issued to the respondent. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner, leaving the Court unapprised as to whether the instant petition retains any live cause of action as of this date. 5. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution.
