HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 293/2017 in SWP No. 241/2017 Suresh Kumar ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Hilal Ahmed and another .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting Counsel vice Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 30.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner prays for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-Authorities for willful defiance of the interim order dated February 09, 2017, rendered by the Writ Court in SWP No.241/2017 (Suresh Kumar vs. State of J&K and ors). A bare reading of the order referred to above shows that MP No. 1/2017 was disposed of by the Writ Court with the direction to the respondents to consider the representation as contended by the counsel for the petitioner within notice period in accordance with the rules. The records show infact the main case itself was transferred by this Court to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu on November 17, 2021. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to point out if the lis between the parties still survives or the matter is still pending before the Tribunal. That being so, the Court is choiceless, but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 30.04.2026 Pawan Chopra/Secy.
