By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities owing to willful/deliberate disobedience of the directions issued by this Court vide order and judgment dated December 22, 2016, passed in SWP No. 2914/2015 (Khurshid Ahmed vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the order referred to above that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to reinstate the petitioner and to award him all consequential benefits within a fixed time frame. 3. The response/compliance report submitted on behalf of respondent shows that the judgment and order dated December 22, 2016 rendered by this Court has since been implemented and in this regard Government order No. 347-GAD of 2018 dated 02.03.2018 has been issued. Thus, it appears that nothing substantive survives in the petition. 4. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the contempt petition and the same is, accordingly, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
