By means of the present petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-authorities for their willful/deliberate disobedience for not implementing the judgment and order dated February 08, 2017 passed in SWP No. 3228/2014 (Puran Singh vs. State of J&K and ors.). 2. A bare reading of the aforementioned order reveals that the petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Authorities to consider the claim of the petitioner under rules having due regard to the judgment passed in SWP No. 1321/2009, relied upon by the petitioner, provided the same has any bearing to the matter in issue. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that Compliance report on behalf of the respondents has been submitted. Per which, the Authorities in compliance to the order dated passed by the Writ Court, upon consideration of the petitioner’s case, promoted him to the position of Lab Assistant in the pay grade of ₹ 5200-20200 +1900 subject to the confirmation of the DPC on the basis of criteria/norms as fixed under rules. Further it is stated that the seniority of the petitioner would be fixed in accordance to the J&K Civil Service Conduct Rules and subject to further clearance of the DPC. Thus, nothing substantive survives in the petition. 4. Accordingly, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
