The instant contempt petition arises out of the order/judgment passed by the learned Writ Court dated 14.11.2014 in SWP No. 3214/2014 by virtue of which the writ petition preferred by the petitioners was disposed of in the following manner: “In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners at the Bar, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and as such, disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners, strictly in accordance with rules governing the field, for grant of 3rd time bound promotion in their favour and also having regard to Judgments passed by this Court, copies of which are enclosed as Annexure-F to the writ petition. The consideration order shall be passed within a period of two months from the date, a certified copy of this order is served upon them. Petitioners, on their part, may handover a certified copy this order along with complete set of writ petition along with its annexures, to the respondents so as to enable them for early disposal of the matter.” 02. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, no one appeared on behalf of the petitioners. The instant contempt petition is pending before this Court since the year 2016 and the direction was only to the extent of Sr. No. 206 2 CPSW No. 442/2016 according consideration to the case of the petitioners. 03. In view of the aforesaid position, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the instant contempt petition alive. Accordingly the instant contempt petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to comply with the directions passed by the learned writ Court dated 14.11.2014 in SWP No. 3214/2014 within two weeks from today, if the same has not already complied with. The order of consideration, if passed be forwarded to the petitioners through registered post so that the petitioners can work out his remedy. 04. Accordingly, the proceedings in the contempt petition are closed. Rule, if any, stand discharged.
