HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 481/2016 in SWP No. 1505/2014 Saparna Sharma ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Babita Rakhwal and another .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting counsel to Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 04.05.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for willful/intentional defiance of the order dated July 16, 2016, rendered in SWP No.1505/2014. 1. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with an observation that the objections raised by the petitioner as regards the ineligibility of respondent No. 5 for appointment as teacher would be decided by the authorities and if, any adverse order is to be passed against respondent No. 5, it would be incumbent upon the authorities to afford notice and hearing to the private respondents. The petition is pending since 2016 and nearly a decade has gone. None is present either on behalf of the petitioner to clarify if anything actually survives in the matter. That being so, this Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. 2. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 04.05.2026 AKHILESH Sr.No. 19
