HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 504/2016 in SWP No. 1609/2016 Satish Kumar ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Sanjeev Verma and others .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Sagira Jaffer, Advocate Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 04.05.2026 Learned counsel for the respondents, at the outset, has drawn the attention of this Court to the averments set out in paragraph No. 2 of the compliance report submitted on behalf of the respondents. She submits that in compliance to the order passed by this Court, sanction to release the funds amounting to ₹6.01 lakhs has since been accorded by the competent authority vide order dated August 28, 2017, and the petitioner has also been paid one month wages. Further, as regards the remaining wages it was stated that the same, too, would be released immediately on availability of funds by the higher authorities and in this regard she has referred to communication dated September 04, 2017 (Annexure-R2). She submits that the petition is pending since 2016 and nearly a decade has gone. It appears that the order passed by this Court, in all probabilities would have been complied with in its letter and spirit. She, as always, fairly submits that let the petition be disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner, in the event any dispute/cause of action/interest still survives to move an appropriate application for restoration of these proceedings and necessary orders. Disposed of with liberty prayed for. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 04.05.2026 AKHILESH Sr.No. 31
