Learned counsel for the respondents, at the outset, has drawn the attention of the Court to the averments set out in para-5 thereof: “That the Commissioner submitted its report vide No. 299/Local/C dated 19.12.2016 which reveals that the claim of the petitioner has been examined thoroughly and it has been observed that the then selection committee has violated the norms and engaged Sm.t Saloni Devi W/O Dheeraj Kumar R/O Ward No. 7 Block Majalta as Anganwadi Worker in contravention to the existing norms and in violation to the laid down criteria of the Advertisement , thus rendering whole the selection process void ab initio in wake of biased and irrelevant considerations. It is submitted that CDPO Majalta is directed to issue fresh orders of engagement as Anganwadi worker to the petitioner i.e Neelam Kumari ( petitioner) for the advertised the post against which Smt. Saloni Devi W/O Dheeraj Kumar R/O Ward No. 7 has been engaged by extraneous considerations. It is submitted that the Child Development Project Officer, Majalta is further directed to pass fresh orders of engagement as Anganwadi worker inf avour of petitioner ( Neelam Kumari) Wa within one week from the date of issuance of this order under intimation to the office of the answering respondent. The copy of the report of commission bearing No. 299/Local/C dated 19.12.2016 is enclosed herewith and is marked as Annexure R-1.” Accordingly, she submits, for, the respondents have already complied with the directions issued by this Court, nothing substantive survives in the petition and the same be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
