HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU CJ Court Case: CPSW No. 351/2016 in SWP No. 3135/2014 Jyoti Kumar & Ors. ….. Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs Sheikh Gul Ayaz Dec. Comm. PDD .…. Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Saliqa Sheikh, Assisting Counsel vice Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG Coram: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 24.04.2026 Vide this petition, the petitioners seek initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent-Authorities for willful disobedience of the order and judgment dated July 27, 2016, rendered in SWP No. 3135/2014. A bare reading of the order referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioners was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take a decision as to whether the enquiry report submitted with regard to the allegation of malpractice in the conduct of selection process for recruitment to the posts of Junior Assistants, is to be accepted or not. The matter is pending for over a decade. None is present either on behalf of the petitioners to clarify if anything actually survives in the petition. That being so, the Court is choiceless, but to dismiss the petition for non- prosecution. ( (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE Jammu 24.04.2026 Pawan Chopra/Secy.
