LISA GILL, CJ (Oral): Grievance raised in this writ petition filed in public interest was that respondents 12 to 18 were found indulging in non-rectifiable violations of their mining lease. It was thus prayed that effective steps for recovery and cancellation of lease in their favour should be taken by respondent authorities. 2. Learned counsel for respondents submits that all eight lease deeds in question have since been cancelled and demands have been raised qua lessees who had carried out mining activity. It is further informed that said HCJ & CGRJ WP(PIL)_48_2016 cancellation has been challenged by way of separate proceedings by private respondents; therefore, present writ petition is rendered infructuous. 3. There is no representation on behalf of petitioner. However, in the given factual matrix we do not find any justification for adjourning this petition. 4. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, this writ petition (PIL) is disposed of as infructuous with liberty to petitioner to file appropriate application in case any incorrect fact has been placed before us.
